2014 STANDARD RULE BOOK FOR PAINTBALL TOURNAMENT

GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. The spirit and intent of these rules and the duty of the enforcing officials is to ensure safe play; to promote fair, unbiased competition; and to sustain the level of organization and good sportsmanship necessary to keep tournament-level paintball a positive activity.

2. The tournament producer is the final authority regarding these rules. The producer may designate an overall director of judging. The judging staff ("referees" or "marshals") also may include one or more ultimate judges, head field judges, field judges, and other designated members of the judging staff.

3. Modifications to these rules may be required by particular situations, including but not limited to insurance requirements, laws, or regulations; in such instances, the tournament producer may modify these rules as necessary. Questions regarding modifications should be directed to the tournament producer or his designated representative before the tournament begins.

SAFETY RULES OF PAINTBALLING

1. Wear your helmet at ALL TIMES while Paintballing in the field
2. DO NOT shoot at close range of six meters or 20 feet instead ask your opponent to surrender.
3. Any problem arising when Paintballing, you MUST raise your hand for any assistance from the referee.
4. For all kids at the age of 16 and below, you are NOT allowed to shoot your opponent at the head.
5. At all times, keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
6. Never point the gun at anything that you do not intend to shoot.
7. DO NOT shoot at fragile objects such as windowpanes, car screens etc., never fire tour marker at personal properties; the paintball can stain the automobiles and homes.
8. Always keep the Marker muzzle pointed down or in a safe direction when not Paintballing.
9. Always avoid alcoholic beverages before and during Paintballing. Handling the gun under the influence of drugs and alcohol is a disregard for public safety and is NOT permitted during Paintballing.
10. Never pick used Paintballs from the playing ground, since they will jam your gun.
11. Blind shooting is forbidden.
12. If a player does not follow any of the rules above the referee has the mandate to remove the player from the game.

NOTE: BREAKAGE AND MISUSE OF THE MARKER, HELMET WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE USER.

Teams
 Two teams

Setting Up
 One flag station required.
 Two even teams required.

Time limit
 10 minutes

Rules

1. All players must begin the game at their flag station (or assigned starting point) and cannot leave that area until the game begins

2. Players who are hit, are out of the game

3. If a player is eliminated while carrying the flag he must drop the flag where he was hit, or hang it on the nearest available object. (Not another player)

4. Players who are eliminated should not, by word or gesture, indicate any intentions or locations of the opposing team members.

5. When a player is carrying the flag, it must remain visible at all times and must be carried in the hand, over the arm or around the neck.

Winning
Capture the flag and take it to your base.

This Tournament Fee Is For All Players In A Team.

Pricing — Entrance Fee

Entry fee for this event is Tshs. 250,000/- per team and includes admission and all day air, marker, paintballs and gear. Registrations must be paid in full by 15th June 2014, in order to participate. Mountain Dew Paintball Tournament will not accept partial payments, the entire balance of Tshs. 250,000/- is due in one lump sum upon registering.

We have read the rules and regulations and acknowledge to have received a copy of same and agree that the decisions of the Referees are final. We agree to participate absolutely at our own risk. We agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Mountain Dew Paintball Arena, All Sponsors, its individual members and directors against any and all claims arising out of, or resulting from, my participation in the Paintball Tournament. We agree as a condition of our participation in the Paintball Tournament, that we shall sign a further release of liability in the form to be supplied by Mountain Dew Paintball Arena on the day of the event or have it filled out prior to the event. We agree to sign in by 8am and attend the Safety Meeting or we will be disqualified and ineligible to participate.
